SZeŠ LANŠKROUN

On the 13th November 1645 a People's School of Agriculture started running its classes in the building of a Citizen School in Komensky Street in Lanskroun.

In 1946 a biennial Independent Agrarian School (cattle breeding and forage crop) was founded here. It had its seat in once village magistrate office (today it is called "an old building") in Dolni Tresnovec.

One year later - in 1947- an Agrarian School arose in Lanskroun and its classes were run in two villas in Zizka Street. They became dormitories later.

On 24th December 1948 the People's School of Agriculture was incorporated into the School for housewives and the Agrarian School and at the same time its name was changed into the Elementary Vocational Agrarian School. Since 1960 the school had been changed into the quadrennial Secondary Vocational School of Agriculture with a school farm. In 1964 a new building was opened festively in Dolni Tresnovec. This building has been used till now. Classes are also run in a neighbouring area of so called "old building", in a building for training and practice classes, two stables and in a riding school.

Quadrennial studies were finished by graduation and they prepared agricultural specialists in two branches: Plant producer and Stock breeder. Later on the school proceeds to more flexible and adaptable branch Agro - Enterprise. In 1997 another new economical branch Enterprise and Services was opened at our school. These two GCE branches have been still taught here.

Since the September of 2009/2010 school year we are going to start teaching the first classes according our new school educational programmes. There will be three branches - Economy and Enterprise, Agro-Enterprise and Veterinary.
